MUNCHIFY CANCELLATION POLICY

Effective Date: October 2025

At Munchify, we aim to ensure every order — whether food, grocery, refill, or essential — is processed quickly and efficiently. However, once an order is placed, it immediately triggers preparation, packaging, or dispatch by our vendors and delivery partners.
This Cancellation Policy explains when and how cancellations are permitted and any resulting charges.


1. General Rule

Once an order is confirmed and payment is processed, cancellation is not guaranteed.
Because our vendors begin preparing or dispatching items immediately, cancellation requests can only be honored before the order is accepted by a vendor or assigned to a delivery agent.


2. When Cancellations Are Allowed

You may cancel your order directly from the Munchify app or by contacting Customer Support if:

  • The vendor has not yet accepted the order.

  • The order has not yet been dispatched for delivery.

  • There is a technical issue or duplicate order caused by system error.

If the cancellation request meets these conditions, a full refund may be issued as per our Refund Policy.


3. When Cancellations Are Not Allowed

Cancellations will not be possible under the following circumstances:

  • The order has been accepted or is being prepared by the kitchen/vendor.

  • The order has already been dispatched or picked up by a rider.

  • The order includes customized, perishable, or made-to-order items (e.g., meals, gas refills, beauty items).

  • The delay or dissatisfaction is due to external factors (e.g., traffic, weather, or rider route delays).

In these cases, the customer remains liable for the order amount and will not be eligible for a refund.


4. Platform or System Cancellations

Munchify may automatically cancel orders in cases of:

  • Vendor unavailability or stock-out.

  • Payment verification failure.

  • Invalid or unreachable delivery address.

  • Fraudulent, suspicious, or abusive user activity.

In such cases, users are notified immediately, and eligible refunds are processed as outlined in our Refund Policy.


5. Cancellation by Vendors or Riders

Vendors or delivery partners may cancel an order under rare, justifiable conditions such as:

  • Inability to contact the customer after multiple attempts.

  • Unsafe delivery environment or access issues.

  • Unavailability of ordered items due to last-minute stock error.

When such cancellations occur, Munchify ensures customers are informed promptly and, where applicable, refunded in full or offered a replacement order.


6. Refunds After Cancellation

If a cancellation request is approved:

  • Refunds are issued within 3–7 business days.

  • Refunds may be processed back to the original payment method or as Munchify Wallet credit depending on the payment provider’s policies.


7. Cancellation Fees

  • Cancellations after vendor acceptance but before dispatch may incur a processing fee to cover administrative and vendor preparation costs.

  • Repeated cancellation behavior may lead to temporary suspension or restriction of user privileges on the Munchify platform.
